Carson City sheriff’s crime log: Deputies make felony and misdemeanor warrant arrests
A 27-year-old Carson City Jail inmate was booked Wednesday for three felony warrants alleging battery by a prisoner in custody, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Christopher Michael Sturgis was arrested on the charges at 11:50 a.m. The warrants were issued Aug. 9, 2017 out of East Fork Township Justice Court. Bail: $10,000.
— A 45-year-old Carson City man, Tony Roten, was booked into jail Wednesday, 9:44 p.m., for a felony failure to appear warrant issued June 13, 2017 out of Carson City District Court. Bail: $15,000.
— A 50-year-old transient was arrested Wednesday, 1:55 p.m. in the area of Ann and Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI drugs. According to the arrest report, a sheriff’s sergeant made a vehicle stop for a driver not having registration. An arriving officer observed behavior associated with drug use. The driver was asked to perform standardized field sobriety test and she showed signs of impairment, according to the report. Bail: $1,137.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Wednesday, 11:51 a.m. for a misdemeanor warrant alleging battery. Bail: $1,000.
— A 35-year-old transient was arrested Wednesday, 8:59 p.m. in the area of South Carson Meadows and East Fifth Street for misdemeanor warrants of violation of a suspended sentence, issued July 17, 2017 and battery, issued July 24, 2017. Both warrants were out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,500.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 8:59 a.m. in the area of South Carson Meadows and East Fifth Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued July 26, 2017 out of Carson City District Court. Bail: $11,790.
