Photography exhibit starts Thursday at Mystique
A photography exhibit lasting through September opens Thursday, Aug. 11, at Mystique Restaurant and Lounge in downtown Carson City.
The exhibit, entitled "Diversity: Invitational Photography Show," will feature a broad range of photographic talent on display for about seven weeks at Mystique.
Sponsored by Charlie B. Gallery, Neo Design, Sierra Custom Picture Framing and Kathleen Stemler, "Diversity" showcases the visual works of more than a dozen professional photographers and photographic artists.
Among the photographers on display include Fred Howland, Linda Arnn Arteno, Catherine Sobredo, Kristen Kabrin, Chas. H. McDonnell III, Patrick Wilkes, Robin Travis, Michael Rabe, Kathy Shields, Phil Adams, Burt Crapo, Robert Stolting, and T.C. Farley.
Many of the photographers whose work will be on display are Northern Nevada residents, including three from Carson City.
The exhibit opening starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, and runs until 9 p.m. that night.
Mystique owner Yvette Barrett said guests are encouraged dine during the exhibit as the restaurant's executive chef will be preparing a special dessert for the occasion.
The photographic works will be on display at Mystique, located at 318 N. Carson Street, for about a month and a half.
Restaurant parking is located at the rear of the building along Curry Street. Enter by the Carson Cigar Bar and stroll toward the front of the building to Mystique.
