Carson City investigators seek help identifying suspicious person inside Carson High School
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspicious subject who was found inside Carson High School on Aug. 1.
At approximately 3:24 p.m. staff members from the Carson High School were watching surveillance camera’s showing areas inside of the high school. The staff members noticed an unknown subject walking around in the school. Staff members stated that since school is not in session, no one should have been in the school, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Detective Morgan Tucker.
High School Staff attempted to contact the unknown male in the school. Once they made contact with the male, he told the staff that he was “reminiscing.”
The male then refused to identify himself and instead stated that he could go anywhere he wanted because he was a “taxpayer.” The male then left the school and drove away.
At this time the Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying the male. The Sheriff’s Office does not know of any threat against any staff or students at the school, and that the male is attempting to be identified for safety only at this time.
Any assistance that the public can provide would be greatly appreciated. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Morgan Tucker at (775) 283-7858 or Captain Brian Humphrey at (775) 283-7850. You can also contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (775) 887-2677. You can remain anonymous.
