Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Deputies make multiple felony drug arrests

A 30 year-old man was arrested early Friday morning at 12:33 a.m. on multiple drug offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said, including two counts of felony heroin possession, one count of felony methamphetamine possession, and gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous prescription drug without a prescription.

Jose Majano-Alvarez was booked into the Carson City Jail after Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle off Old Clear Creek Road in South Carson City.

According to the report, deputies observed a grey Chevrolet pickup tucked off the north side of Old Clear Creek Road in a remote area about one mile west of Fuji Park.

Law enforcement made contact with two male occupants in the pickup truck. One of them was Majano-Alvarez.

They were both questioned and asked what they were doing in the remote area of Old Clear Creek Road. The two male subjects both said they were meeting some females there to take them to a casino, the report said, which deputies considered odd for being in a remote area.

A K-9 unit arrived at the location and performed an exterior sniff of the pickup truck. A positive alert was made by the K-9 officer, the report said, resulting in a search of the vehicle.

As a result of the search, the two subjects were taken into custody on suspicion of narcotics possession and transported to the Carson City Jail, where more drugs were found on the Majano-Alvarez, the report said.

A small baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, a tooter straw, a small white pill and a wrapped piece of gray plastic bag were observed in plain view on the seat of the patrol vehicle as the subjects exited at the jail, the report said.

The baggie of suspected meth contained a white crystal-like substance consistent with meth, the report said, and the tooter straw contained burnt residue on the inside of it. The gray plastic bag contained a sticky, dark brown residue with a vinegar-like odor consistent with heroin, the report said.

The white pill recovered on the seat of the patrol vehicle was identified as Lorazepam, the report said, a schedule IV controlled narcotic.

When questioned, Majano-Alvarez denied having any other drugs. But a search of his person recovered a jar containing a white powdery residue consistent with meth and another small wrapped gray plastic bag identical to the one recovered on the seat of the patrol vehicle, the report said.

Majano-Alvarez again denied having any other drugs on his person when questioned. But due to the circumstances of recovered narcotics and the suspect's repeated denials, a strip search was performed at the jail.

During that search, the suspect was instructed to spread his buttocks and a bright, green balloon was observed inside Majano-Alvarez's anus. He was instructed to remove the balloon and drop it to the floor, the report said.

A sticky substance was suspected inside of the recovered balloon.

Booking into the Carson City Jail was then completed on Majano-Alvarez. Bail: $2,500.

In other arrests:

— A 67 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday night at 7:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Carson Street on two felony offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including possession of a controlled substance and ex-felon failing to register.

Walter Anderson was taken into custody after Sheriff's deputies responded to the area on report of a fight. A male subject matching the description of a subject involved in the fight was observed by a deputy and stopped in a parking lot.

The suspect was contacted by law enforcement and identified as Anderson, who appeared highly intoxicated, the report said.

Although Anderson was clear of any wants or warrants through Carson City Dispatch, the records check did show he was an ex-felon sex offender who was not registered at his current Carson City address.

Anderson was detained in handcuffs and arrested at that point, transported to the Carson City Jail, where he was searched in pre-booking.

During the search of his person, Anderson said to deputies, "Do you have my heroin? Hide my heroin."

A folded piece of paper containing a white powder substance was recovered during the search, the report said.

Anderson consented to questioning, but said he did not know what the substance was when asked. He told deputies he was holding it for a friend. After multiple repeated questions about the substance, Anderson said he thought the substance was cocaine.

Booking into the Carson City Jail was then completed on Anderson. Bail: $5,000.

— A man and woman were arrested on felony offenses Thursday afternoon at 4:34 p.m. in the area of East Nye Lane and Airport Road following a traffic stop of the vehicle they were traveling in, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

Nicholas Bornt, 35, of Gardnerville and 42 year-old Patricia Lindquist of Carson City were taken into custody after the green Ford SUV driven by Bornt was stopped for suspended vehicle registration.

According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy made contact with the driver, Bornt, and his passenger, Lindquist. Bornt produced an expired proof of insurance, and stated he did not know the registration was expired.

A records check through Carson City Dispatch on both subjects, returned positive with a confirmed misdemeanor contempt bench warrant for Lindquist issued by the Nevada Highway Patrol out of Carson City Justice Court, the report said, while Bornt was shown to be under active supervision of Nevada Parole and Probation.

Lindquist was detained in handcuffs that point, and Bornt was later placed in custody after Nevada Parole and Probation requested he be arrested for felony violation of conditions.

A search of the vehicle recovered a partially broken glass pipe on the passenger side floor board. Lindquist stated the blue methamphetamine pipe belonged her and that she had removed it from her pocked, dropped it on the floor board and stepped on it in an attempt to destroy it, the report said.

White residue observed on the pipe was suspected as meth, and Lindquist told deputies that the residue was meth inside of the pipe, the report said.

Bornt and Lindquist were transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail for Bornt: No bail, parole and probation hold. Bail of Lindquist: $2,500.
