Carson City deputies make 4 felony, multiple misdemeanor arrests during weekend

A Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 9:22 a.m. in the area of North Plaza and Washington streets on a felony burglary warrant issued out of Clark County. Charles Roy Dickey, 59, was taken into custody and was being held without bail awaiting extradition, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

In other felony-related arrests: A 37-year-old Carson City man, John Ryan Downey, was arrested Aug. 2, 9:50 p.m. in the 200 block of East Adams Street on a felony charge of possessing dangerous drugs. According to the arrest report, Carson City sheriff’s Special Enforcement Team officers were called to the location in reference to a man brandishing a weapon. The alleged suspect with the weapon, who was discovered not to have a weapon, was sitting on a curb.

A woman, identified as Beverly J. Tremayne, 47, said she was moving out of a residence due to an irreconcilable argument. A witness said he knew Downey was keeping methamphetamine in a sunglass case. Inside the case officers found 1.2 grams of meth in baggies, 6 carisoprodol pills, 13 morphine sulfate pills, 9 alprazolam pills and one methadone hydrochloride, according to the arrest report.

The woman, Tremayne, admitted to officers that the meth was hers and that she bought it to help give her enough energy to move her property, the arrest report states. Tremayne was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Bail: $2,500. Downey was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs. Bail: $2,500.

— A 44-year-old Carson City man, Michael Bruce Adams, was arrested Aug. 1, 8:13 p.m. in the 500 block of East William Street, on a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,632.

In misdemeanor arrests:
— A 41-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday at a sporting goods store, admitting not only to shoplifting but being in possession of a meth pipe and two marijuana pipes.
Officers were called to the store after security had detained the woman for shoplifting.
A deputy read the woman her Miranda rights and she agreed to talk saying she was guilty, and took the items and then voluntarily stated she was in possession of meth and marijuana pipes. Bail: $1,652.

— A Carson City man was arrested Aug. 3, 8:27 a.m. in the 2600 block of Waterford Place on a criminal contempt warrant. Bail: $500.

— A 45-year-old Reno woman was arrested Aug. 3, 5:10 a.m. in the area of Carson and Second streets on misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license, speeding and possessing drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, the woman was clocked by radar for speeding, doing, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. The woman had active warrants for her arrest, one in Clark County, and a suspended license status. During inventory of her property officers found a pipe with suspected meth residue. Bail: $1,886.

— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 3, 12:07 a.m. in the area of Wendy Lane on misdemeanor charges of violation of bail conditions and destruction of property. The man allegedly pried a fence open with a hammer and threw raw chicken, beef and pork for some dogs he said were abandoned. The owner of the dogs said they were not abandoned. Officers spoke with the man who was intoxicated. The man is currently under supervision with the Department of Alternative sentencing with a “no alcohol” clause. The man blew a preliminary breath test of .200. The man told officers that he was having a last celebration prior to a court appearance on Aug. 6. He also told officers he was a retired “federal law enforcement officer,” the arrest report states. Bail: $3,622.

— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 3, 3:07 a.m. in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing. Bail: $242.

— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 2, 11:37 p.m. in the 3400 block of Highway 50 East on a charge of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $3,000.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 2, 9:50 p.m. in the 200 block of East Adams Street on a misdemeanor warrant. Bail: $1,000.

— Two Stockton men, both 22, were arrested Aug. 2, 9:39 a.m. at a hotel on Hospitality Way on gross misdemeanor drug and misdemeanor property destruction charges. Officers were called to the third floor of the hotel, responding to a call of people fighting in a room. Officers arrived and observed a room in disarray and a broken picture frame after one of the men allegedly threw something at it. Xanax without prescription and methamphetamine and a pipe were also found, according to the arrest report. Bail: $3,122 and $6,137.

— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Aug. 2, 8:09 a.m. in the 100 block of Consetoga Drive on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a protection order. Bail: $3,000.

— A 31-year-old transient was arrested Aug. 2, 1:19 a.m. on West William and North Carson streets on misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges and a CPC. Bail: $352.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 2, 1:08 a.m. at Telegraph and Plaza streets on misdemeanor charges of DUI first offense and parking on the sidewalk. According to the arrest report, the man reportedly hit a fire hydrant attempting to park his vehicle between the fire hydrant and a power pole. The man admitted he was drunk and that he should be taken to jail. Bail: $1,219.

— A 34-year-old man was arrested Aug. 2, 5:46 a.m. in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road on two misdemeanor battery charges. The man allegedly used pepper spray on two neighbors. The man said he was attacked by the neighbors and used the pepper spray to defend himself. The neighbors, two males, said they wanted to file a citizens arrest report. The 34-year-old man was arrested on two charges of battery. Bail: $1,274. A third subject, who was also hit with pepper spray, said he did not want to be a victim and refused to press charges. While interviewing the man, officers learned he had a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant for his arrest. Bail: $500.

— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 2, 12:50 a.m. in the 2700 block of Menlo Drive on a misdemeanor charge of minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $242.

- A 33-year-old Dayton man was arrested Aug. 1, 6:09 a.m. in the 1400 block of South Carson Street on a warrant for criminal contempt. Bail: $347.

— A 41-year-old Antioch, Calif., man was arrested Aug. 1, 10:15 a.m. in the 2900 block of South Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. $3,137.

— A 29-year-old Orangevale, Calif., man was arrested Aug. 1, 8:27 a.m. in the 2000 block of Hawaii Circle on misdemeanor charges of obstructing an officer, and two warrant charges, violation of a suspended sentence, issued out of Carson City Justice Court.
According to the arrest report, an officer went to a home to serve a warrant on the man and observed him walk inside. The officer knocked on the door and was let inside with permission by a woman, who told the officer “I am not hiding anyone.” The officer walked past a small child’s bedroom where a wind was opened. The 2-year-old girl kept asking the woman “Where daddy go?” The officer went to the back of the home and learned the man was hiding in a neighbor’s garage and was arrested. Bail: $6,412.

— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Aug. 1, 1:10 p.m. on a contempt of court warrant. Bail: $3,000.

— A Woodside Drive couple were arrested Aug. 1, 8:48 a.m. on misdemeanor warrant charges of making a false crime report. Bail, $2,500 each.

— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 1, 12:24 p.m. in the 1200 block of Palo Verd Drive on a misdemeanor warrant for domestic battery. Bail: $3,000.

— A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 1, 5:12 p.m. in the 2000 block of Highway 50 East on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.

Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
