Carson City deputies make arrests for drugs, domestic battery and jail house brawl

A man and woman were arrested for trespassing early Sunday morning with one facing a felony drug charge, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Haley C. Douglas, 23, was arrested for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance after she admitted to owning a purse that contained hypodermic needles, one with liquid methamphetamine inside, the deputy said. She also faces charges of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, trespassing and felony probation and parole violation.

The 38-year-old man faces a misdemeanor trespassing.

According to the arrest report, a patrol deputy was dispatched to the area after the Carson City Fire Department called in a suspicious subject report. They said they saw a man duck into the entry way of a building in an attempt to hide from a sheriff’s deputy who was on patrol.

The deputy entered the business and located the man and Douglas locked inside of a bathroom, and a pink purse in the trash can that Douglas later admitted was hers, the arrest report states.

She is being held without bail in lieu of a hearing on her parole and probation violation violation. The man’s bail: $242.

The husband told deputies she has mental health issues and they instructed him to call when she returned. On a call about an hour later, the husband was heard telling his wife to “drop the knife.” When deputies arrived, they entered the residence and found the wife on the ground with lacerations on her wrists.
