Carson Tahoe Health and Nevada Discovery Museum launch digital heart health exhibit

Carson Tahoe Health has unveiled its cardiology exhibit, From the Heart, About the Heart, located inside the newest gallery at the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum – Inside Out: an Anatomy Experience.

The 2,500 square-foot Inside Out gallery, with 47 hands-on stations, offers a captivating experience for kids and adults alike to explore the amazing ways our bodies work, grow, age, and heal. Whether playing a game, interacting with an exhibit, or reading interesting facts along the way, Inside Out brings anatomy to life by providing a unique learning experience that demystifies complex health topics.

CTH is the proud sponsor of an integral portion of the Inside Out gallery – the heart exhibit. Designed to enhance health literacy community-wide, the From the Heart, About the Heart exhibit features three main attractions: the Heartbeat Wall, Organ Explorer, and an interactive cardiovascular kiosk with videos featuring Carson Tahoe’s cardiology team. These attractions offer hands-on and digital interactive displays providing an entertaining and educational experience for parents, teens and kids of all ages.

“This collaboration provided us the opportunity to present pertinent information on complex health topics in a dynamic way that is easy to understand,” said Ed Epperson, CEO of Carson Tahoe Health. “Recognizing heart disease as a leading health concern in Northern Nevada, our exhibit features local cardiologists from Carson Tahoe Health who guide participants on an amazing journey uncovering the inner workings of the cardiovascular system and steps they can take to optimize their heart health.”

CTH’s From the Heart, About the Heart exhibit, located inside The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum at 490 S. Center Street in Reno, is available for viewing during regular business hours: Monday thru Saturday, 10AM-5PM, and Sundays, 12PM-5PM. For more information of the heart exhibit, go here.
