Carson City sheriff's log: Woman arrested after allegedly stealing jailed man's car and gun

A 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday on felony charges of possession of a firearm with altered serial number and grand larceny of a firearm, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

When asked about the rifle the man said he had purchased it 10 years ago and it was hidden in his closet. He was told it was in the car and he said Ruiz must have put it there, the arrest report states. The man said he wished to press charges against Ruiz for taking his vehicle without consent and stealing his rifle.
