NHP seeks witnesses to Monday road rage incident in Reno
On Monday, July 8, 2019, at approximately 4:55 p.m., a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper observed a road rage incident on IR-80 and the West McCarran eastbound off-ramp in Reno.
A male driver of a white and black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and a male driver and male passenger of a blue 1988 GMC pickup truck stopped on the off-ramp and were engaged in a physical fight involving weapons.
NHP is looking for witnesses who observed the altercation or anyone that may have witnessed the incident. This altercation led to serious injuries to one of the involved subjects.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is reminding motorists that these road rage incidents can often have serious or sometimes deadly results. If you observe a motorist driving aggressively, contact the Nevada Highway Patrol by dialing (asterisk) NHP from your mobile device.
Do not attempt to handle the situation by yourself. If you find yourself being followed by an angry motorist, drive to a safe location, such as your local police department.
