Carson City man jailed for suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, luring children

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon and alleged gross misdemeanor luring children, a sheriff's deputy said.

Timothy John Marshall was taken into custody at 1 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Edmonds Drive. According to the arrest report, at approximately 11:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a Woodside Drive residence regarding a report of a man inside a motorhome who allegedly attempted to lure two children, ages 9 and 10, into the vehicle.

A reporting person told a deputy that the suspect attempted to tell the children to enter the motor home, asked if they liked puppies and told them he had two puppies inside, the arrest report states.

The reporting person said he approached the motorhome and observed the man start the engine. The person told the officer he was directly in front of the motorhome when the suspect accelerated toward him, the arrest report states.
