Carson City emergency crews called to crash involving 2 motorcycles on Highway 50 East
UPDATE 2:08PM: Eastbound travel lanes on US-50 at Arrowhead near Deer Run are now open. The westbound traffic is being diverted onto Arrowhead, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. One person was transported by Care Flight and the other rider was taken by ground ambulance. Their conditions are unknown at this time. NHP is investigating the crash.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Friday afternoon to a crash involving two motorcycles and a truck in the area of Highway 50 East near Arrowhead and Deer Run Road.
The crash, reported at around 12:30 p.m., involves two motorcycle riders and a truck, according to dispatch.
A Care Flight air ambulance was ordered. According to a battalion chief on scene, one of the riders has critical injuries and will be flown by Care Flight. The second rider will be taken by ground ambulance to the hospital.
The helicopter landed at the Carson City Airport. The crash is blocking traffic. Motorists can expect delays.
