Carson City arrests: Two jailed for felony warrants, two for domestic battery
A 59-year-old man was booked into Carson City Jail on Tuesday for a felony warrant alleging grand larceny, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Arrested was Thomas Arthur Kraft. The warrant was issued in July 2016 and carried a $10,000 bail amount.
In other arrests:
— A 25-year-old man was booked into jail Tuesday morning for a felony fugitive justice warrant issued out of California, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Booked into jail was Quadair Tyree Jones. The warrant was issued in October 2014 out of Contra Costa Superior Court. He’s being held without bail pending extradition.
— A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 1:31 p.m. in the 2700 block of Highway 50 East for suspicion of gross misdemeanor child endangerment and misdemeanor open container, fictitious, suspended registration, driving while using a cell phone and driving without a valid license.
According to the arrest report, the woman was seen drinking a beer while driving and talking on her cell phone. She was stopped by a deputy who saw the woman throw the Corona beer bottle out the window.
She admitted to throwing the beer bottle out the window, according to the arrest report. She admitted to only drinking half of the beer.
The deputy observed a small child walking around in the backseat of the vehicle. The 3-year-old child was not secured in any type of seat belt or car seat. The woman was asked about the child. She told the officer she had left the park and forgot to secure her child in the car seat, the arrest report states.
The deputy conducted a warrant check on the woman. She did not have any outstanding warrants but did not have a valid license, the arrest report states. She agreed to a preliminary breath test and did not show significant impairment. She voluntarily provided a breath test with a result of .008.
Due to her driving her car with an open beer, talking on a cell phone with her 3-year-old child unsecured in the back seat she was taken into custody. Bail: $3,098.
— A 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 10:55 p.m. in the 1300 block of Willard Lane for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, the woman was in a dispute with a male victim who was scratched in the chest during an argument. Deputies observed a moderate amount of scratch marks on the man. Bail: $3,137.
— A 61-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 6:09 p.m. in the 4200 block of Sherman for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, an argument between a couple turned physical with the man allegedly biting the victim. The suspect had scratch marks on him and was unable to say who started the physical confrontation. He admitted to biting the woman’s arm, according to the arrest report. Bail: $3,137.
