At 3:55 p.m. Doppler Radar indicated a thunderstorm producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is occurring or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the Bison Fire burn area may result in debris flow that can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose material, according to the weather service.
Some locations that will experience flooding including Artesia Road on the eastern slopes of the Pine Nut Mountains in Smith Valley and the western slopes of the Pine Nut Mountains in Douglas County, according to the weather service.
