Nevada Sesquicentennial commemorative license plates available through 2016 at DMV
Looking for ways to show your country and state pride for the Fourth of July? In addition to the traditional flag and BBQ celebrations, dress up your car with a limited-edition Nevada 150 license plate available through 2016 at the Nevada DMV.
The commemorative plates were designed to celebrate Nevada and it’s Sesquicentennial. Nevada residents can purchase their Nevada 150 license plates online at dmvnv.com or at DMV locations throughout the state.
The plates reflect Nevada’s flag featuring the battle born emblem on a blue background with white lettering.
Proceeds from the plates helped support the year-long celebration and now help fund ongoing Sesquicentennial legacy projects through the Nevada 150 Foundation.

Nevada’s Sesquicentennial, the 150th anniversary of Nevada’s admission to the Union, provided opportunities for celebration and reflection as we came together statewide to commemorate our shared history and build a foundation of cultural appreciation for generations to come. Nevada’s one of a kind and diverse history was celebrated throughout the state for an entire year in order to promote pride in the shared heritage of all Nevadans.
Nevada’s Sesquicentennial celebration commenced on Nevada Day 2013 and concluded with an expanded Nevada Day celebration October, 2014. The Nevada 150 Foundation is responsible for completing the final directions of the Sesquicentennial Commission. For more information, please visit www.nevada150.org.
