Thunderstorms developing south of Carson City

The areas of concern in the weather statement include the Carson Valley locations of Minden, Gardnerville and Johnson Lane, as well as Mineral and southern Lyon counties, Yerington and Smith Valley.
The storms were producing little in the way of rainfall, however lightening and gusty winds were associated with the systems, according to the weather service.
