20th Annual Carson City Sheriff’s Office Motor Training and Competition set for July 14
This year the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, will be holding our 20th Annual Police Motorcycle Training and Competition. The event is being held on July 14th, and 15th at Battle Born Harley Davidson in Carson City, Nevada.
This two-day event brings together Officers, Civilians, and for the first time ever, Retired Military and National Guard Motorcycle riders from across the region and state.
Training will occur on Friday July 14th with the emphasis of providing riders the opportunity to learn specific skills to negotiate challenging cone patterns. Saturday July 15th, competition will kick off at 8:00 am. Saturday will provide riders the opportunity to display their riding skills for Northern Nevada community members and visitors to the area.
Officers and civilians will be riding motorcycles of all makes and models, in a competition with each other, against the clock, and even against the flow of gravity as they attempt to stay on two wheels. The event concludes Saturday afternoon with the most popular of spectator events, the “Last Man Standing” where the last rider to stay upright without placing his feet or motorcycle on the ground wins. Event spectators will have the opportunity to meet officers to discuss rider safety and share riding information.
Our goal remains the same; to have a safe and entertaining event for all riders, families, and visitors to the area. We hope you come join us to share a day of food, fun, and friendship. Admission is free for spectators of this family friendly event and will include a raffle open to the public during set up for last man standing.
