Free Summer Yoga in the Park Offered Each Monday Evening in Carson City
Each Monday evening this summer through Aug. 23, Partnership Carson City is bringing its popular yoga class outdoors for free. The Wellness Yoga classes takes place at John Mankins Park, located at 3051 Oak Ridge Dr., Carson City starting at 5:30 p.m.
“Taking our yoga classes outdoor combines the best of our vibrant summer days here in Carson City, with the tranquility of yoga in an open-air setting,” said Hannah McDonald, executive director of Partnership Carson City. “Our hope is the community continues to participate in our classes and reaps the benefits that yoga makes.”
The Wellness Yoga classes are family-friendly and open to all ages. Classes are offered every Monday at 5:30 p.m., excluding Monday, July 5 and Monday, August 30.
Participants are advised to bring water, sunscreen and a yoga mat. Wellness Yoga resumes indoors Monday, Sept. 13. The class is taught by independent contractor Adria White.
