Ashely Isamar Noriega, 19, and Brian Issac Cano Perez, 18, were arrested Wednesday, 7:12 p.m. in the area of Oak and Snyder streets near Ross Gold Park. Both were booked into custody on suspicion of felony possession and sales of marijuana and possession of marijuana oil among other charges.

According to the arrest report, a deputy stopped the vehicle when he observed it leave after it had been parked earlier with its windows down. The vehicle left without signaling and the officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana where it had been, the arrest report states. The deputy asked the male driver for his license, registration and insurance.

Both were asked to step out of the vehicle and the man was asked if he had any drugs in the car. He hesitated and then admitted to having drugs in the vehicle. A deputy with a K9 arrived. The dog alerted to drugs along the vehicle’s exterior, according to the arrest report.

The driver was on Alternative Sentencing for a prior DUI and had a search and seizure clause for drugs and paraphernalia. The vehicle was searched, with deputies finding multiple items of drugs and paraphernalia, the report states.
