Guided ghost tours begin Friday in Carson City

Debbie Bender and Tom Cruz of Bats in the Belfry Ghost Tours have been busy preparing their tour guides for the upcoming Carson City Haunted Experience and the “Spooks & Spirits” Pub Tour. The first tour is Friday, June 13.
Pre-run groups have been spotted walking about Carson City, learning the well-researched historical stories and legends. Debbie Bender and Tom Cruz are longtime ghost tour experts and serious paranormal investigators. They have been successfully doing ghost tours in Virginia City for many years.
The couple have been featured on shows like the "Ghost Adventures" "The Dead Files" and have been special guests on many radio shows. Numerous stories, Youtube videos and newspaper features across the nation have featured Bats in the Belfry and the Virginia City ghost tours, sparking plenty of interest.
Both of these Carson City tours will take place in the heart of downtown. The tours will highlight the rich history of some of Carson City’s most interesting, colorful and tragic stories and hauntings.
Over the years, Carson City’s residents, visitors and businesses have told tales of ghostly activities in many of the downtown establishments and residences. The Carson City Haunted Experience will be on Fridays and Saturdays by reservation, throughout the year. Special group arrangements can be made for other days by appointment.
The tours will launch Friday, June 13, 8:30 p.m. beginning and ending at the Westside Pour House, 110 West Telegraph Street. The Haunted Experience will soon be a part of the Carson City Experience (Aka the CCX) that will begin in August during the Nevada State Fair in Carson City.
The Haunted Experience will then feature augmented reality experiences throughout the downtown and surrounding areas.
“We are very excited to be a part of the New Carson City Experience, tourists and locals will see and experience things on these tours that have never been seen anywhere else," said Debbie Bender owner of Bats in the Belfry Ghost Tours.
