Mumbo Gumbo amps it up on Minnesota Street Stage
The Levitt-Amp Concert Series kicked off Saturday night, attracting a large crowd to the outdoor Minnesota Street Stage at the Brewery Arts Center.
Dozens of families and individuals covered the lawn along Minnesota Street, facing the theater, as well as the parking lot at the Performance Hall.
Mumbo Gumbo lit up the summer-like air, inspiring to people gather and dance along Minnesota Street to the unique sounds of this seven-member band playing blends of soul, zydeco, folk, blues, rock, Cajun, Carribean, and country.
Concerts are held each Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at the corner of Minnesota and King streets through August 6. There will be one Friday night concert, too, on June 17.
Next week will feature the instrumental band Incendio, and The Holdup group from San Jose, CA, performs at the one Friday night concert.
