Carson City emergency crews called to crash involving motorcycle at Fairview and Highway 50

UPDATE: Traffic lanes on Highway 50 and Fairview are now clear and open, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Saturday afternoon to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the area of Highway 50 and Fairview.
The crash was reported at around 2:50 p.m. and involves a downed motorcycle rider, according to dispatch. Care Flight has been ordered.
Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area. Eastbound Highway 50 has been closed with traffic being diverted to Brown Street. Southbound Fairview at Highway 50 is also being diverted.
The patient, a female, was taken by ambulance to the Carson City Airport and will be transported by Care Flight to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center.
The cause of the crash, which happened in front of 7-Eleven, is under investigation.
