Douglas Sheriff: 3 arrested at Tahoe for alleged attempting to solicit sex with minor

MINDEN — On Friday May 21, 2021 detectives from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Reno Police Department Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT), and Nevada Department of Investigation conducted a human trafficking operation in Stateline, Nev.

Detectives arrested three adult males who contacted undercover detectives believing they were underage minors for the purpose of having sex with the minors. The operation occurred in the casino core of Stateline, Nevada.

“We are always looking for signs of Human trafficking we usually run at least one or two prostitution stings a year. This is the first one with HEAT, who also provided training to us specific to human trafficking and prostitution involving minors. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will continue to aggressively investigate Human Trafficking and Child Prostitution and will work with our regional partners to continue fight this type of heinous crime, and protect our children,” said Sheriff Coverley.

The suspects are identified as the following:
Jonathan Lemus, DOB 11/24/87, Lives in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Charges:
Solicitation of a minor for prostitution
Attempted child abuse for sexual exploitation

Adam Graf, DOB 04/11/84, Lives in Wellington, NV
Charges:
Solicitation of a minor for prostitution
Attempted child abuse for sexual exploitation

James Markwardt-Abrigo, DOB 07/25/91, Lives in Dayton, NV
Charges:
Luring a child with a computer device
Solicitation of a minor for prostitution
Attempted lewdness w/ a child under 16
Attempted Stat Sexual seduction by a person over 21
Attempted sexual abuse of a child involving sexual exploitation of a child

I always talk about pruning evergreens after a hard freeze. Why? With the cold, borers and bark beetles are no longer flying ready to attack trees. There are a series of ponds behind the Western Nevada College campus in the Vicee Canyon. The ponds are fed by runoff from Hobart Lake from time to time. Walking along the trails near the canyon, with my dog, we could hear the sound of running water and when we came upon the ponds they were full and water was rushing from one to the next lower one.
