Care Flight ordered after vehicle plunges down ravine at Highway 50 and Flint Drive
UPDATE 350PM: The patient has been flown by Care Flight to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno. The cause is under investigation. Acting Battalion Chief Jason Danen said the vehicle, a sedan, plunged more than 100 feet down the ravine. The adult female victim managed to get herself out of the vehicle by the time rescue crews arrived.

Carson City Fire Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Wednesday afternoon to a traffic accident in the area of Highway 50 and Flint Drive. Care Flight has been ordered to take a patient from the incident.
The call came into NHP dispatch just before 2:30 p.m. and involves a single vehicle that was in the westbound lane that plunged 150 feet down a ravine, according to a battalion chief at the scene.
Carson City Fire Department personnel were in the process of moving her back up to the highway and to an awaiting ambulance where they will transport via Care Flight.
