Carson City deputies make weekend arrests for alleged DUI, drug and weapon offenses
A 30-year-old man was arrested May 21 for suspicion of DUI second and disobedience to a traffic control device, both misdemeanor offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Deputies responded to the area of North Roop and College Parkway at 10:51 p.m. for a vehicle crash. Officers made contact with one of the drivers, a Sun Valley man, who said he ran the red light and hit the other vehicle. The man's eyes were red and water, the report states.
The man was asked if he had consumed any alcohol and the man said he had. He agreed to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment, the report states. He provided a preliminary breath test of .198 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI second offense. He provided an evidentiary blood sample. Bail: $2,724.

— A 36-year-old man was arrested early Monday for suspicion of DUI, disobedience of a traffic control device and a tail lamp violation, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
At around 1:08 a.m. a sheriff's deputy on patrol observed a vehicle without tail lights fail to obey a traffic control device by stopping past the limit line with its front tires, crossing into the intersection.
The deputy followed the vehicle to establish driving patterns and initiated a traffic stop. The deputy spoke with the subject, who had red watery eyes. The deputy could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The man was asked if he had consumed any alcohol. The man replied he had not. The driver's girlfriend, who identified herself, said she had consumed alcohol but the man had not, the report states.
The man consented to standardized field sobriety tests. The deputy informed him he could smell alcohol on his breath. The man stated he did consume a Truly alcoholic beverage, and had been drinking from 11 to midnight. The deputy observed clues of impairment on the tests. The man provided a preliminary breath test with a .125 result and was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
He agreed to a breath sample for evidentiary testing, with results of .107 and .99, the report states. Total bail amount listed: $1,296.
— A 48-year-old Carson City man, Steven Wilson Ingersoll, was arrested Sunday, 7:32 p.m. for suspicion of two counts being an ex-felon possessing a firearm, misdemeanor suspicion of ex-felon failing to register and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $20,000.
— A 28-year-old Sparks woman, Megan Gabrielle Brizuela, was arrested May 20 for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and heroin, both felony offenses, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $6,137.
— A 26-year-old Winnemucca woman was arrested May 20 for suspicion of failure to stop or yield at sign and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanor offenses. Bail: $1,112.
— A 37-year-old Dayton woman was arrested May 20 for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. She was booked with a no bail hold.
