Happening Now: Carson City Cops and Kids Open House taking place until 2 p.m.
Today. Saturday, May 20, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office is hosting its annual Cops and Kids Open House event. The event is free for all and takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
The purpose of the event is to provide a fun and interactive environment for kids and their families to engage with law enforcement, while also promoting positive relationships between law enforcement and the community as a whole.
Various law enforcement entities, including the K9 unit, SWAT, Traffic, Detectives, and the Special Enforcement Team, will be present at the event. Children will have the opportunity to see a range of law enforcement tools, such as police gear, patrol cars, and SWAT vehicles.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is committed to building strong positive bonds between law enforcement and the youth in the community, and we invite everyone to join us at this event. The Sheriff's Office is located at 911 East Musser Street.
