Carson City arrests: Woman booked into jail admits to hiding drugs in condom
A 36-year-old woman was booked Monday for possession of a controlled substance after admitting drugs found inside a condom were hers, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
Heather Megan Riley faces the felony charge after allegedly hiding drugs inside a condom during the jail intake process, according to the arrest report.
The drugs were located in a shower area at the jail. The shower had been inspected prior to the woman showering, and was inspected after she showered when the condom with drugs was found. Riley admitted to a jail sergeant the drugs found were hers, the arrest report states.
Inside the condom was a small plastic baggie containing a white crystal substance and a folded yellow piece of paper. The substance was identified as methamphetamine. The piece of paper contained three small brown tabs identified as Suboxone. Bail: $2,500.
In other arrests:
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday, 5:48 p.m. in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Sept. 27, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 34-year-old Thermal, Calif., man was booked into Carson City jail at 8:27 a.m. on a misdemeanor warrant issued in November 2012. According to the arrest report, the man turned himself in on the outstanding warrant at the Carson City Sheriff's Office. Bail: $3,000.
— A 30-year-old Mound House woman turned herself in on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants issued out of Carson City Justice Court. The warrants were issued in August 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $20,000 cash.
