Carson City sheriff’s log: Deputies make multiple weekend felony, misdemeanor arrests
A 45-year-old man was arrested Sunday for felony suspicion of giving false identification to avoid prosecution and being a sex offender failing to register, among other charges, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Christopher Randall Shaw of Reno booked at 10:42 a.m. following a traffic stop. He also had a contempt court warrant and was driving on a revoked license, both misdemeanors.
According to the arrest report the man did not have a driver’s license and identified himself with another name. The name he provided showed two outstanding arrest warrants. Shaw later advised he provided the officer with his brother’s information and then gave his real name. A records check returned with a confirmed warrant out of Fallon Municipal Court. He also had a failed sex offender registration status. Bail: $16,237.

According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the 400 block of Saliman Road for a report of domestic battery.
