South Lake Tahoe man suspected of embezzling from Pop Warner Football
UPDATE 2:34PM: KRNV News 4 in Reno is reporting that Klug has turned himself in to the South Lake Tahoe Police on Friday after an arrest warrant had been issued in connection to embezzlement charges filed against him.

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a South Lake Tahoe man suspected of embezzling funds from the South Tahoe Pop Warner football program.
Christopher Klug, age 25, was appointed as President of the Pop Warner Board in early 2017. Since his appointment, a significant amount of money has become unaccounted for according to SLTPD Lt. Shannon Laney. Over the last week the police department became involved and a warrant has been issued for Klug’s arrest.
Since the investigation began, Klug has avoided contact with investigators Laney said.
Laney said he could not disclose the amount of money that is missing from the football program.
The South Tahoe Pop Warner football program is a non-profit organization that sponsors South Lake Tahoe youth football programs.
