Valley Farms Minden to host 'Baby Goat Yoga' in May and summer 'Farm Camp'
Valley Farms Minden, Carson Valley's newest family-owned farm, will be hosting a Farm Camp for children this summer, as well as Baby Goat Yoga classes.
Farm Camp
A week full of farm activities will include feeding Alpacas, mini horses and chickens as well as walking the mini horses, brushing them out.
Campers will learn how to feed and care for all the farm animals and what each farm animal needs to be happy and healthy. A different craft activity will be held daily. The day will end with an 17-inch inflatable double slide and games.
On Friday, parents and siblings can come pick up their little farmer an hour early so their child can take them on their own farm tour.
There are currently four camp dates to choose from: June 14-18, June 28-July 2, July 12-16 and July 26-30. Each camp runs from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The cost is $300 per child and is for children ages 5 and up.

Baby Goat Yoga
There will two sessions of Baby Goat Yoga, including a special Mothers Day Baby Goat Yoga held Mother's Day weekend that includes mimosas alongside beginner-friendly yoga shared with baby goats.
These are beginner-friendly classes with poses that allow the baby goats to jump on your back or stretch with you. Class is being taught outside in the round pen which has a sand base and a view of the Sierra. Attendees will be provided the yoga mats, but participants are free to bring their own.
The class is being taught by certified yoga instructor Shannon Allen who owns Mama's Motivation Yoga. This is for ages 12 and up. Baby Goat Yoga will take place on two dates:
Saturday May 1 at 10 a.m.
Sunday May 9 at 10 a.m. for Mother's Day Goat Yoga and Mimosas

About Valley Farms
The owner of Valley Farms, Justine Pugliese, and her family have been in the Carson Valley for 13 years and have always had chickens and horses. They had always envisioned expanding their family farm and opening it up to the public.
They then found their land in Minden last year and started expanding. This coming 2021 and 2022 they have lots of plans in the works, including a U-pick vegetable garden and flowers, fall pumpkin patch, and a Christmas tree lot with Santa pictures.
