Tip-A-Cop at Chili's raises over $2,000 for Special Olympics Nevada
Special Olympics Nevada raised more than $2,000 during a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser held Thursday at the Chili's restaurant on Topsy Lane in South Carson City, said David Sorensen of Special Olympics Nevada.
"They raised $2,106 for Special Olympics Nevada," Sorensen said. "Thank you Northern Nevada for the support of Special Olympics Nevada from the coaches, athletes and volunteers."
Chili's restaurant donated 20 percent of event day sales with each flier presented.
Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office served patrons at Chili's during the event.
Tip-A-Cop is a signature fundraiser for Special Olympics Nevada with events held multiple times a year around the state.
