Five Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies received recognition for their outstanding efforts in saving lives on Nevada roads by removing under the influence drivers who were operating motor vehicles on our streets and highways.
An awards dinner sponsored by the Kerak Shriners of Reno, in conjunction with the Northern Nevada DUI Task Force, was held April 27 with representatives from local law enforcement agencies in attendance. The Northern Nevada DUI Task Force is dedicated to the goal of “No New Victims.”
Officers were recognized in several categories which included: Most Driving Under the Influence (DUI) arrests in 2014/2015, Outstanding Effort in DUI enforcement, Crash Investigation or Victim Support, Outstanding Effort in Underage Drinking Prevention and Party Dispersal or Compliance Checks.
