Carson City sheriff's log: Man jailed on suspicion of lewdness with a minor
A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. on a felony warrant, suspicion of lewdness with a minor under 14 years of age, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Kourosh Scott Lahouri was arrested on the warrant charge in the 1800 block of East Long Street. Bail: $50,000.
In other felony related arrests:
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday on a felony warrant alleging that he obtained and used personal identity information of another person for unlawful purpose. The warrant was issued out of Carson City Justice Court.
Ernesto Ramirez-Alvarez was arrested in the 4900 block of Highway 50 East. Bail: $10,000.
— A 31-year-old Gardnerville man, Steve Stone, was arrested Wednesday, 7:42 p.m. in the area of Fall and Dan streets on felony suspicion of child endangerment and four misdemeanors: DUI, reckless driving, open container and probation violation.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to a single vehicle accident near the corner of Fall and Dan streets. Inside the vehicle was the driver’s three-year-old son. When the driver exited the vehicle a deputy made contact with him and could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. There was an open Mike’s Hard Lemonade container in the center console.
The man displayed signs of being under the influence. He agreed to submit to standardized field sobriety tests and unsatisfactorily completed the tests, according to the arrest report.
The child was evaluated by Carson Tahoe Medical staff and released to his mother.
The man was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak. He told the officer he had consumed approximately 2 beers while in Gardnerville and drove to his girlfriend’s house in Carson City. He said he put his son in the car seat in the back of his vehicle and thought everything would be fine because he did not feel intoxicated, the arrest report states.
He said he had opened the alcoholic beverage and was drinking it on his way to Carson City. He said the accident happened when he “smashed” the accelerator in an attempt to show off in front of his girlfriend’s house, which caused him to lose control, hitting the curb. He faces the felony and misdemeanor charges, including probation violation for drinking alcohol, a violation of his probation terms. Bail: $4,600.
— A 36-year-old Silver Springs woman was booked into jail Wednesday, 8 p.m. on two contempt of court warrants issued in December 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,546.
— A 23-year-old Reno man was booked into jail Wednesday, 8 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant charge of probation violation. Bail: $3,000.
— A 20-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Wednesday, 8 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, contempt of court, issued April 18, 2016 out of Carson City Drug Court.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 8:14 a.m. in the area of Valley and Proctor streets on misdemeanor suspicion of minor consuming alcohol and obstructing a police officer. Bail: $654.
— A 26-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was booked into Carson City Jail on April 23 on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of bail conditions. Bail: $1,000.
