Carson City Fire Department knocks down small brush fire off Curry Street
Carson City Fire Department knocked down a small brush fire this afternoon in the 2900 block of South Curry Street near the Washoe Tribe Smoke Shop.
Reports came at around 12:40 p.m. of persons attempting to throw dirt on the fire in the 2900 block of South Curry Street after getting out of control. The fire was knocked down immediately by arriving firefighters. Washoe Tribal Police and Fire were also called to the scene.
Gusty winds have been reported throughout Carson City today, with gusts to 35 mph, according to CarsonWeather.com.
