Seeliger Elementary lockdown lifted after man with pajamas seen earlier leaving playground
Update 1:40 p.m.: The lock down at Seeliger Elementary has been lifted. Carson City School Superintendent Richard Stokes said the sheriff's office was contacted when the man was on school grounds. Several officers responded, going through neighborhoods where the man was seen leaving school property, going over a fence.
With further consultation with the sheriff's office, the school was placed in a lockdown with admittance, which closes the school off for children, keeping them indoors but being able to go from classroom to classroom, said Stokes.
Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong noted officers continue to look for the man to ask him what he was doing on school property. He said the modified school lock down was done as a precaution and said there is not a threat to the school.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who jumped a fence and entered the playground area of Seeliger Elementary on S Saliman Road this afternoon.
For precautionary reasons, the school is on a temporary lock down, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. Students apparently have been calling their parents from inside the school, he told dispatch.
The man is described as a male, in his 30s, heavy set, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and pajama bottoms, according to officers on scene. He apparently tore his pajamas when he was climbing over the fence, according to officers on scene.
A front desk person who answered the phone at the school confirmed the lockdown, said it was temporary and that officers are looking for the man.
