Two dead in Carson City crash late Sunday night, three injured
UPDATE 6 a.m.: Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong tells KOLO that the incident involved a vehicle pursuit in which suspects in the vehicle that caused the crash had stolen merchandise from a south Carson Street clothing store. The two killed in the crash were passengers in the suspect vehicle. A third passenger and the driver were taken to Renown. The driver of the victim vehicle was also taken to Renown. Their condition is unknown.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol were called Sunday night to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of East William and North Saliman.
The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. A total of five people were reportedly injured, at least three seriously.
Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area and find alternate routes. Roadways around the intersection are closed and traffic was being diverted.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. We will update as more information becomes available.
