Glass Shack celebrates grand opening in Carson City

A grand opening celebration was held Saturday at 1947 North Carson Street, site of the all-new Glass Shack smoke and vapor supply store in the Frontier Plaza Shopping Center in Carson City.
Stor owner Obi Mobaligh said he opened the business softly on April 1 in response to customer demand for glass pipes and other products used for smoking tobacco, vapor or legalized marijuana.
"My customers' needs led me to do this," he said. "When marijuana became legal, a lot of people were asking for the accessories. We already carried accessories at the smoke shop, but it was too small. We needed a bigger place."
So Mobaligh rented a 1,300 square foot retail space next door to his Carson Vape and Hookah, as well as his North Side Smoke Shop on the north end of the Frontier Plaza.
The Glass Shack carries glass water and smoking pipes as well as vaporizers and many other glass accessories, Mobaligh said.
Glass products are made by either local glass blowers or are imported nationwide, he said.
"We have a wide selection of products and at a very low price in Northern Nevada," he said. "People should come down and check us out. We'll take good care of them."
The Glass Shack is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
