Go inside ComputerCorps at Tuesday's Rotary Club of Carson City meeting
Go behind the scenes of ComputerCorps at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting. The Carson City based non-profit repairs and recycles computers and other electronics and puts them back to use in the community and out of landfills.
The volunteer run organization also provides computer training to low income, at-risk youth and their families, physically or mentally challenged individuals, displaced workers, and our senior community.
“Our volunteers will take us on a virtual tour of the facility,” said Rotarian and ComputerCorps Volunteer CEO Ron Norton. “They will show us how, as an essential business, they were able to continue to operate and serve the community during the pandemic. While many people recycle electronics with us, not many know what all goes on here. I think those in attendance will find it really interesting.”
