Carson City jail inmate accused of punching victim after pulling him out of cell
An inmate at Carson City Jail faces a felony charge of battery by a prisoner after an alleged altercation Monday, a sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, a deputy witnessed suspect Patrick Adams walk upstairs and then to an intake cell, where he grabbed a prisoner who was inside the cell and pulled him out of the cell onto the top tier walkway.
The deputy witnessed the suspect punch the victim on the upper extremity. The fight went to the ground. The deputy ran upstairs and ordered both inmates to lie on their stomachs on the ground. Both complied. It was determined Adams was the primary aggressor.
The victim told deputies he was injured and that he had a prior traumatic brain injury. The victim became dizzy and began going in and out of conscious, the arrest report states. He was transported to the hospital.
The deputy noted the suspect, Adams, is much larger than the victim, by around 150 pounds. Bail: $15,000.

— A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 11:18 p.m. in the 1300 block of Lindsay Lane for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct.
According to the arrest report, the man allegedly went to the work place of his ex-wife, was intoxicated, and began yelling and screaming at her, calling her names inside her place of work. Bail: $242.
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Wednesday, 2:467 a.m in the 1700 block of North Edmonds Street for misdemeanor suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor violation of bail conditions.
According to the arrest report, a deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for having expired registration. The deputy made contact with the driver and the passenger. The driver did not have a valid license and informed the officer the vehicle belonged to a friend. She was able to provide proof of an expired registration but did not have proof of insurance. She also did not have a valid license.
Dispatch alerted the deputy that the male passenger is subject to bail conditions and has a history of narcotics use. the arrest report states. The deputy observed an electronic scale in the seat where the passenger had been sitting. The scale had white residue on it. A K9 did a sniff of the vehicle and indicated a positive alert.
The deputy conducted a search of the vehicle and located another electronic scale in the rear seat, several hypodermic needles and several empty baggies between the front passenger seat.
Both denied possession of the items. The 30-year-old male suspect was taken into custody for suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of conditions. Bail: $4,274.
