Ronald McDonald dental mobile unit to make stops in Silver Springs, Carson City
The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile operated through Nevada Health Centers will be making stops in Carson City and Silver Springs this month to provide oral healthcare to children.
Nevada Health Center staff focuses on treatment, education, prevention, and advocacy to children up until the age of 21. The Care Mobile is fully staffed with a dentist, dental assistants and office assistants. Services provided include: Restorative and preventive care, exams, cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, fillings, extractions, x-rays, and oral health education.
The Care Mobile will be at the following locations:
— Tuesday, April 9, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Silver Sage Elementary School, 3800 Spruce Avenue, Silver Springs.
— Wednesday, April 10, 7:30 to 5:30 p.m., Carson High School, 1111 North Saliman Road, Carson City.
— Thursday, April 11, 7:30 a.m. to noon, Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive, Carson City.

NVHC’s mission is to provide access to quality healthcare services throughout Nevada. The center accepts most dental insurance plans, Medicaid, and Nevada Check-up. A sliding fee scale is available for uninsured patients. NVHC is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing access to quality health care throughout Nevada since 1977.
The center operates more than 17 health centers throughout Nevada, that include three mobile programs, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, NVHC Mammovan, and the Nevada Children’s Health Project plus a Visiting Nurse Program in Lockwood.
