Carson City arrests: Man jailed for domestic violence protection order violation
A 28-year-old Incline Village man was arrested March 27 in the 500 block of East William Street for misdemeanor violation of a temporary protection order and two counts violation of a suspended sentence, a Carson City sheriff's booking report states.
According to the arrest report, a CCSO deputy observed a vehicle with a man inside moving items around. A license plate check showed the owner of the vehicle, a woman, was the victim of a recent domestic battery.
The officer then noticed both the male and female in the vehicle. The officer did a local information check on the man involved in the domestic battery, which was flagged with a protection order against him for domestic violence.
Carson City dispatch confirmed the domestic violence protection order was issued by the Carson City Justice Court.
Deputies were further advised the man is on Department of Alternative Sentencing for two primal cases. The department advised the man to be taken into custody for violation of the domestic violence protection order. Bail: $3,000 bondable, $2,000 cash.
In other arrests:
— A 25-year-old Stockton, Calif., man, David Lee Turner, was arrested early Monday in the area of Saliman and Cardinal for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous drug and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the booking report, a deputy was traveling south on Saliman Road when he observed a vehicle with Idaho plates stopped in the number two northbound lane. The officer stopped and made contact with Turner, who identified himself with a California ID card. The deputy asked the man why he was stopped in the travel lane. The man stated his vehicle would not go into drive.
The officer observed the man had slow, methodical movements and slow speech. A routine check of the man's identification came back as him having a revoked license in California. Another officer arrived on scene, and observed a hypodermic needle in plain view.
Also located was a clear cylindrical tube with a broken round bulb that resembled a pipe. The bulb had a white powdery substance inside that tested positive for meth. Also located was a plastic baggie with white broken tablets inside. The man said the prescription drugs belonged to someone else. Bail: $6,137.
