UPDATE: Carson City fire and rescue canceled Care Flight and is taking the driver of the truck that flipped by ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The driver apparently went through the Fifth Street travel lane at the roundabout, possibly going too fast, flipping the truck to its side and dumping a load of dirt, garbage and other debris along the roadway.
Rescue crews were able to get to driver and pull him out of the truck where he was being treated in an ambulance. However, at around 1:30 p.m. fire and rescue canceled Care Flight and instead said they were taking the driver by ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.
Traffic is now moving but blocked off at Fifth Street just after the roundabout. School buses have been advised to go around the accident via Deer Run.
