Carson City, Quad County Wednesday COVID-19 briefing: 3 deaths, 168 new cases and 196 recoveries
Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, March 24, 2021 that there are 3 deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad County region. CCHHS is also reporting 168 new cases and 196 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region.
The individuals were:
— A male Lyon County resident in his 70’s
— A female Carson City resident in her 90’s
— A male Carson City resident in his 70’s
This brings the total number of cases to 11,777, with 10,483 recoveries and 217 deaths; 1,077 cases remain active.
Due to a backlog in the state electronic laboratory reporting system caused by some labs not reporting electronically, Carson City Health and Human Services has received 146 positive COVID-19 laboratory results dating back to October 2020.
