Carson City arrests: Transient booked for felony meth possession
A 56 year-old transient man was arrested Friday night at 8:19 p.m. in the area of Saliman Road and Long Street, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, having been found in felony possession of methamphetamine as well as misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
Myron Leroy Buckley was taken into custody after a sheriff's deputy observed him walking along the street and recognized him from previous law enforcement contacts, the arrest report said.
Buckley was known to have an outstanding arrest warrant, which was confirmed, for contempt of court by the Carson City Justice Court, the report said.
He was stopped and detained in handcuffs, the report said, before being patted down for weapons. During the pat-down search, a meth pipe and two plastic baggies containing trace amounts of meth were found.
The substance was field tested and returned presumptive positive for meth, the report said.
Buckley was subsequent placed in custody and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking without incident. Bail: $4,637.
