SUV and large flatbed truck crash near South Carson and Old Clear Creek, semi leaves scene
UPDATE 3:07PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help locating the red semi truck with a flatbed trailer that ran a red light and hit a Ford SUV, and then left the scene. Troopers responded to the hit-and-run crash on South Carson Street/US-395 at Old Clear Creek. Contact NHP at (775) 687-9600 if you have any information.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Tuesday afternoon to the area of South Carson Street and Old Clear Creek Road for a crash involving a large flatbed truck and an SUV, in which the truck did not stop after the accident.
The call came into dispatch at around 2 p.m. of a flatbed 18-wheel truck, red in color, colliding with the SUV and continuing on. One person in the SUV suffered injuries in the accident and was to be transported by ambulance to the hospital, according to first responders on scene.
Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol are searching for the flatbed truck. It is unknown if the semi driver knew their vehicle was involved in the accident.
