Winter storm prompts Gov. Sandoval to close state offices Friday
A winter storm moving through the region has prompted Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval to close state offices in Northern Nevada Friday, according to a statement from the Nevada Governor's Office.
"State offices in Northern Nevada will be closed all day due to the weather," Gov. Sandoval tweeted early Friday morning. "Please stay safe if you're on the roads and highways."
Although state offices in the north are closed today, the Carson City Courthouse is open for business, said Court Administrator Max Cortes.
