Carson City Chamber Singers host concerts two concerts in March
The Carson Chamber Singers, directed by Michael Langham, present a pair of concerts — Saturday, March 5, and Tuesday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. — both at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 314 N. Division St. in Carson City.
The program features works from the early Renaissance and also some of the most beautiful choral works by Franz Schubert, Henry Purcell, Kurt Bestor, and Russian composers Pavel Tschesnokoff and Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov. Soloists for this concert are soprano Jana Whitson from Carson City, tenor Adam Boles from Sacramento, and bass Jon Rabben from Minden.
The Carson Chamber Singers was founded in 1985 as a select performing group of the Carson City Symphony Association. The group has been conducted since 2012 by Michael Langham and performs several concerts each year.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and free for age 16 and under. Tickets are available in advance at CCSymphony.com; at the Carson City Visitors Bureau, 716 N. Carson Street; and at the door. Carson City Symphony flex tickets also will be accepted.
This concert is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. For more information, call the Symphony Association at 775-883-4154 or see CCSymphony.com.
