Carson City residents take to the polls for early voting at the community center, available through Tuesday
The first ever early voting in Carson City welcomed huge crowds Saturday as Democrats went to cast their ballots for this years presidential nominee.
Held at the community center, residents exercised their civic duty after new legislation enacted early voting, during which community members can cast their vote with preferences; that way, if during the caucus next weekend their first choice doesn’t make it through to the next round, their second or even third preference choice will be taken to make sure that their vote counts.
Registered Democrats or those who would like to register as Democrats can come down to the community center today, Sunday or Tuesday to cast their votes. By law, IDs are not necessary to cast a vote and if you’d like to register there are people on site who can help you.
Early voting times at the Community Center are as follows: Saturday, February 15: 10 am – 6 pm, Sunday, February 16: 1 pm – 5 pm, Tuesday, February 18: 10 am – 8 pm
