South Lake Tahoe harpist Anne Roos worked on Grammy winning album
Celtic harpist Anne Roos of South Lake Tahoe was part of the Grammy winning album, Winds of Samsara. The album won the Grammy in the best New Age category Sunday in Los Angeles.
Roos played on the track, Eyes of Wonder, which was recorded in Reno at Tanglewood Studios. The studio's President and Founder Michael Eardley engineered the track.
The album's creator is 33-year old Ricky Kej who is a North Carolina native of Indian decent. Winds of Samsara is a collaboration with South African flutist Wouter Kellerman. Roos was in Los Angeles for the annual awards show.
"I feel so honored to be a part of this Grammy nominated album. Thank you Ricky Kej and Wouter Kellerman for inviting me to perform," said Roos on her Facebook page before the Grammy winners were announced.
Anne played at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City in November 2014 during the Celtic Concert Series along with South Lake Tahoe bagpiper Sean Cummings.
