Nevada State Museum, Children’s Museum to host annual Lunar New Year celebrations this weekend
Each year, the Nevada State Museum and Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada partner together to bring Chinese culture to the capital city. This year is the year of the Dragon according to the Chinese lunar calendar and the first day of the Lunar New Year is Saturday, Feb. 10.
C5 Classic Cinema and Fun with Food are teaming up to celebrate National Pizza Day along with the Bogey Bacall binge, on Friday, Feb. 9 at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King Street in Carson City.

There will be a "Shining a light" candlelight memorial vigil Friday for Ella Márquez Conchas, 10, who died Jan. 23 in a pedestrian accident on US-50 in Mound House. All are welcome to attend as a show of support for Ella Márquez Conchas and family. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at on Friday at Dayton Elementary, 285 Old Dayton Road.
