Airline to offer non-stop service from Reno-Tahoe International to Austin, Texas
Reno-Tahoe International unveiled plans Thursday for non-stop service on Frontier Airlines to the Texas state capitol city of Austin, a new destination never before served by the airport.
Flights will begin April 10 and run twice a week between Reno and Austin, Tuesdays and Fridays, on a 180-seat Airbus 320.
Flights will leave Reno at 5:07 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 10:16 p.m. (Central Time). It will leave Austin at 2:39 p.m. and arrive in Reno at 4:17 p.m. Frontier is offering introductory fares of $49 each way.
“We’ve heard that you want more non-stop access to the Lone Star State,” said Marily Mora, president and CEO of Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. “We’re pleased to now serve Dallas-Fort Worth, Dallas Love Field, Houston seasonally, and now Austin, in the heart of Texas Hill Country.”
The flight plan is the second new destination Frontier Airlines has scheduled from Reno in six months, and the eighth new non-stop route from Reno-Tahoe International in the past two years.
Frontier also announced that on April 9 it will add another day of service, four days a week from Reno to Denver, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. For more information see renoairport.com.
